Obituaries

of Chelsea, age 63, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home. He was born August 23, 1951 in Big Rapids, Michigan, the son of Clayton Graham & Isabelle A. (Newell) Fox.  Randy graduated from Fremont High School in 1969. He attended Ferris State University, until he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Randy served as an MP in Vietnam. He graduated from ITT with a degree in Computer Programing. Randy worked as a supervisor in Automation Services at U of M for the last 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he and Lynn were head ushers for many years.

Randy was a member of Inverness Country Club, and also active in the Dexter Knights of Columbus and worked for Habitat for Humanity and National Relief Network trips for disaster relief. He coached soccer, T-Ball, and Little League in Chelsea. Randy participated in  Boy Scouts with his son, including a trip to Philmont. He enjoyed hunting and his annual fishing trips to Canada with friends and family. Randy ran many marathons and  recently earned his Scuba Diving License.  

On April 4, 1975 he married Lynn A. Hoyt, in Fremont, MI, and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Jason (Holly) Fox of Lansing; four siblings, Barb (the late Larry) Corbusier of Minnetonka, MN, Steve (Suzy) of Long Island, NY,  David (Becky) of East Lansing, Bruce (Deb) of Stockton, NY; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Fox in 2002 and his parents.

A mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 17, 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church, 6805 Mast Rd, Dexter, with Fr. Brendan J. Walsh presiding.  Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea, Michigan.   The family received friends at St. Joseph Catholic Country Church Thursday 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm (with a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm) and Friday 10-11 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity Catholic House, Huron Valley Humane Society, or the Dexter K of C.
