of Canton, age 66, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. She was born May 9, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William & Mary (Crouch) Carriveau. Wilma graduated from Cherry Hill High School in Inkster in 1968. She worked in the office of American Wallpaper and Blind Headquarters, Morgan Auto Paint, and Manufacturers Bank. Wilma raised her family attending St. Suzanne Catholic Church in Detroit. She loved her grandbabies, country music, oldies, her soap operas, and actively kept track of the weather.
Survivors include her mother, Mary; a son Chuck (Janine) Mallast of Jackson; three brothers, William (Ann) Carriveau Jr., Wayne (JoAnn) Carriveau, Walt Carriveau; two sisters, Waneta Colton, Wendy (Gary) Penk; two grandchildren, Isabeau “Beau” and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her father, William.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 27, 1:00pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Deacon Tom Franklin officiating. The family received friends Thursday from 2-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
