of Chelsea, Michigan, formerly of South Lyon, age 95, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born April 27, 1921 in Dundee, Michigan, the daughter of Dorsey & Namah (Haines) Armstrong. Lucille grew up in Lima, OH. Her family moved to Detroit, where she worked as a pharmacy assistant at Hudsons. She typed braille and was a lifetime member of Nardin Park Braille Transcribers and Seedlings Braille Books for Children. Lucille was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in South Lyon.
Lucille married Donald Kunkleman, Elwood Hinkle, and Gerald Martin, and they all preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Randall (Helen) Kunkleman of Elida, OH, a daughter, Sharon (Kerry) Holmes of Grass Lake; 5 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016, 1:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Pastor Terry A. Nelson officiating. A private burial will take place at Glen Eden Lutheran Memorial Park, Livonia. The family will receive friends Thursday, Noon until 1:00 pm.
