Helena Marie Robinovitz

79, of Chelsea, MI, and more recently of Glenview, IL, died peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on February 23rd, 2024.  A lover of wildlife, nature, gardening, and animals, she had recently moved from her home in the countryside in Michigan to be near family.  As was her typical fashion, she had made several new and dear friends almost instantly.  

Helena was born in Riverside, CA, but spent most of her childhood in the Detroit metro region.  She is survived by her brother Joel (Anne) Hodgson and her dear cousins Polly and Mary Ann.  

On February 6, 1976, she married her beloved husband, Stewart Henry Robinovitz, and he preceded her in death. Children Isaac (Annemarie) and Miriam (Victor) survive.  

Jamie Lynn Gay

of Potterville, Michigan, formerly of Pasadena, CA; Honolulu, HI; Colorado Springs, Co; and Lansing, MI, age 70, died Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. She was born June 17, 1953, in Pasadena, CA, the daughter of Mahlon C. and Geraldine (Hubbert) Dunkel.

Jamie worked as a nurse at Kaiser Hospital; a flight attendant for Mesa Airlines; and was a School Administrator for Bath and Grand Ledge Community Schools.

Robert Glenn Dunlap


Of Munith, Michigan, age 59, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 16, 2024. Bob is survived by his wife, Amy, who he lovingly referred to as his “little one”. He and Amy had been inseparable since 1982 when they were officially “going together”, and married June 22, 1985. Bob is also survived by his two children, Jessica Lynae (Cody Wayne) Deladurantaye of Stockbridge; Nathan Andrew Dunlap of Kalamazoo; two amazing grandchildren, Aiden Layne and Melody Lynn;  sister-in-law, Kathy Lynn & Charles Douglas Mullins; brother-in-law William Randal & Maureen Sword; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, William & Norma Sword; and the people who treated him like a son, Allyn & Lois Thurston. His family meant everything to him.

William "Bill" MacLean Foster, Jr.

of Garden City, Michigan, age 87, died Friday, February 16, 2024, at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation of Canton. He was born February 18, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of William MacLean and Marguerite A. (Wagner) Foster.

Bill graduated from Fordson High School in 1954, then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University. On June 16, 1962, he married Karen R. Kurtz, and they were married for 57 years, and for 52 of those years, they lived in their house in Garden City, Michigan. Together, they enjoyed traveling which included many camping trips throughout the United States and, in retirement, cruises with close friends to Hawaii, the Mediterranean, and Australia.

Dianne Marie Kelley-Sanchez

of Chelsea, Michigan, age 76, died Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Chelsea Retirement Community in Towsley Village. She was born May 22, 1947, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Bill and Eva (Smith) Kelley.

Dianne attended the University of Michigan where she earned her Masters Degree in Education. She taught for 30+ years as an Elementary Teacher in the Ann Arbor School District, mostly at Logan Elementary and High Point School. She loved all animals, particularly horses and cats, hiking, and adventure. Dianne also enjoyed crafts, basket making, painting, quilting, and traveling. She was a member of the Chelsea First United Methodist Church.
